Management of Technological Organizations Startup Innovation - Big Data/Analytics TruRate Team Project

3.

Introduction

Our team is dedicated to bringing you unbiased, honest reviews on popular movies and films based on aggregated social media data collected from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. TruRate will be available on IOS and Android devices.

Our concept was an AI program with the help of many Analysts to try to fix the way misinformation and disinformation was hurting competitors and people. With this type of idea, we'd hope it would be of use in the real world.

This project was a group effort preparing for a Management of Technology Organizations Startup IT Showcase. As we learned about how Technology is Management in Business and different sectors of companies and corporates we got hands-on experience working as a team to create a prototype to see if our product would become possible into real-life. Each semester judges from academic, entrepreneurship and IT-related organizations join us at ITI Showcase to provide our ITI 210 and Capstone students with their advice and feedback on their IT prototypes and designs.

Health Informatics Statistical Analysis on Physical Fitness App Use Team Project

4.

Introduction

This is a Team Project from the class Application Research in IT. Were chose our topic based on Health Informatics and chose to focus on first making Qualtrics surveys to pull data to provide information for what we have researched. Through this project, we have used Statistical Analyses methods to explain the data we have collected by random sampling.

With health and fitness industry being worth over a trillion dollars globally, a countless number of corporations and technology companies have invested heavily in providing hardware, applications, and general information to billions of people. Throughout the past 10 plus years, the growing network of technologies known as the Internet of Things (IoT) has seen an extremely large growth. This growth in technology has drastically changed the health and fitness industry and how people plan and reach their health and fitness goals.

The internet and a wide range of devices like have drastically changed the health and fitness industry and how people plan and reach Internet of Things (IoT) has seen an extremely large growth. This growth in technology Throughout the past 10 plus years, the growing network of technologies known as the providing hardware, applications, and general information to billions of people. A countless number of corporations and technology companies have invested heavily in. With health and fitness industry being worth over a trillion dollars globally, smartphones, applications, wearable devices, online videos, are catalysts in this movement over the past decade. Our research group will focus on how people utilize technology, the importance, and impact that technology has on people’s health and fitness goals.

The survey and model presented will look into several variables such as age, gender, which technology is utilized, and more to see how technology has impacted their health and fitness goals. The file showing all Statistics Data and Information will be attacked in the file above.

Database Technology Design Team Project

5.

Introduction

During my Database Technologies class at the university, the professor allowed up to pick whom we'd want to work with after a couple weeks of class for a database design project. We split up the work evenly and even worked together on certain parts since we were new to this. The only way we were able to achieve in completing this project was by working together effectively.

We used MySQL Workbench to work on and test our scripts all by code.  We also used FileZilla Client to upload our content onto the Rutgers School of Communication and Information Server. Which required to quickly adapt to foreign languages to us, which were PHP, HTML, and CSS. In doing this, since we all have a different experience in Java, the fact we have that background it enabled us to understand how to put the code together. Honestly, it was tough, but we got it mostly to work properly.

Since the University deleted our project from the server, (since its project from many in the type, of course, they were deleted from the database). So some samples left over will be attached.

Java File Directory and Ranking Team Project

6.

Introduction

This project was a group project consisting of the programming language Java. The platform we have used was Eclipse. This was for a class called Introduction to Computer Concepts. The class gave up general knowledge of how binary numbers work in systems, how hardware and software technology from the first to the current generation came about.

During the class, we were taught some syntax and from there we were pretty much on our own. The class was truly challenging. (Words from professor's mouth: "You now have the tools, now go practice"). If we were to ask the professor a question, he'd either say go practice or if the question is very specific he'll give some advice as a lead. Though as tough as the professor was, I ended up acing the next programming class called Object Oriented Programming.

Information Consulting on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

7.

Introduction

During Fall of 2016, my class assigned each and every student to go out and find an IT Professional in the field to request if they need Information Consulting on a specific topic that they do not have time to research as they're busy with their own work. The mission was to try to incorporate ideas from the topic to be able to benefit their workplace.

Since this was my first semester in the Information Technology and Informatics (ITI) Program since I switched my major, this was an extreme task since I have no knowledge on IT. I spent many many hours researching all the roles that were performed by my client and spend the time understanding his importance in the role and extra information gathering for the Topic: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

One of the greatest moments I've experienced in the class was the first day when my professor told the class, "This class is a lot of work, you'll be getting professional experience as you do the projects and assignments in this class. If you think you cannot handle it, drop and leave now". Kind of funny for my first day officially in the ITI Major.

Did Information Consulting for the IT Professional, Michael Souren _ System Administrator, at Rutgers University School of Communication and Information.

  • Researched Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

  • Did 35 hours of research and information retrieval.

  • Put 10 reputable sources of information together explaining the negatives and positives in the short and long run of how they will benefit from this technology if it were to be implemented in the workplace.

  • Finalized everything into a report for the IT Professional to look over.

  • Successful in Research and IT Professional was satisfied with results.

(The Project went from September to November as I were to balance this project during my studies.)

In the attached files you will see my written report and there will be a feedback form my IT Professional Client.

Team Pitch Design Project on Home Security Technology

8.

Introduction

Over the years, security has become more of an issue and people have been doing their research. At first, there weren’t many early majorities with smart homes nor a software application similar to the switch app, but as the popularity and results came out the early majority to laggards have been noticing this. Though it is not cheap to have a smart home system, anyone can use the app even if he or she's not economically fit to have it. The adopters are starting to become more apparent to this technology and the switch app would be able to better assist them in using their system. In 2015, there were only “4.6 million” people with smart homes and in “2020 an estimate of 19.9 million” more people would own a smart home (Richter, 2015).

We pitched an idea for a new Software Application Switch App that provides convenience for people with advanced technology. The app is able to replace the old way of how people use the electronics in their homes. Making people's lives more convenient is the key design concept of this app.

In the attached files above you will see an Infographic Presentation and a Report holding the support of this presentation.

Relevance Query Project

9.

Introduction

This project is an experiment of how relevant are certain queries under specific topics. In the beginning, I tried to make up a question asking, is an Apple laptop better than a Windows laptop. After looking through 4 different search engines on the web and having to go through 120 different sites evaluating the relevance, I realized I could not use this topic. Afterward, I decided to have a fresh start which ended up working out in the long run.

This time I decided to use the query, 'how to organize time' as a question to see what would result in the four different search engine.

Such as:

  • DeeperWeb.com

  • Google.com

  • Gigablast.com

  • Scholar.google.com

After I finished evaluating each relevant and non-relevant source I was able to make some precision tests as you will see in my report in the attached file.

Global Importance

Blog Site

10.

Introduction

So far, maybe, you are starting to understand what type of person I am like. I enjoy getting myself involved in activities that will bring me out of my comfort zone, into more diverse situations and even further.

In my Blog site, I first started out as explaining how important it is to have cultural competence, and how one can get more involved. There are just so many possibilities that come with diversifying oneself into different cultures. So many doors open and I was able to make a couple blogs by using WordPress.

By clicking on the link above will lead you to the blog site on WordPress.

Informatics Virtual Technology

11.

Introduction

For this type of project, I have used infographics to demonstrate the reason why we need virtual reality in classroom settings. Especially in the future of science classrooms and labs. I've created this in Summer 2016, and have recently updated it to make sure everything on the presentation is still running and operational.
