About me
To start off, I'd like you to really know where I come from. My parents immigrated here from Sicily, Italy and Cali, Colombia. This makes me first generation among my families such as my other siblings, cousins and the rest that are here. Growing up in New Jersey has been very interesting, especially growing up in a household of three cultures, American, Colombian and Italian.
The area I grew up in is a well diverse area, which got me involved with multiple groups of people from various backgrounds. Later on in life, I ended up valuing and emerging myself around different cultures and people on a daily basis. Moving 5 or 6 times has given me the skills to adapt to multiple places. Where ever I go, I never have an issue communicating with others, even if I'm the only person of different origin in the room.

I have a background in classical arts of piano, played 4 years when I was younger, around 6 years later I got back to play for another 2-3 years. The desire of wanting to learn piano again lead me to composition and writing my own music just so I can play on the piano. and write my own piano pieces. It has been a nice experience and fun thing to do on the side whenever I get some spare time. I enjoy getting involved with multi-cultural organizations. Without the nice mix of people in this world, where would we be today?
My Background
I will be graduating this Summer in August from the Information Technology and Informatics Program here at Rutgers. I was able to acquire skills during classes and outside of the classroom, such as projects and some work experience. Some of the skills and work experience that I've learned were: Java and SQL(programming experience), public speaking, analyzing information and executing, data analysis, research analysis, statistical analysis, communicating through language barriers, high-level project planning, writing a teaser off of backed up research and business plan to convince an investor to invest in a certain technology, data entry and etc [The rest you can find on my LinkedIn Profile].
I'm passionate about working with data and being able to use it. I have a high interest in working in an international setting, technology, business and health area, where I can learn and use the abilities I have to work alongside in a diverse environment. Though I do enjoy a broad area of what can be done, for example, health informatics, big data, project management. I really enjoy learning about culture and languages in my spare time, as well as composing piano pieces. I've been a project leader for a majority of my projects during my time in school and hoping one day I can work in an area of management. Alongside being the leader for most of my projects,
I've had 50+ hours of leadership training in intense workshops back in 2014. I really enjoy working with others on projects, part of that is because I am an extrovert, though I like alone time too from time to time, I gain a lot of energy by being around people.
